m&m's&the best cookie recipe,ever.

leaning tower of monster cookies :)... monster cookies- minus the peanut butter & oatmeal ,  just straight up m&m's and chocolate chips that is. these were by far my favorite when i was growing up and so today i decided to bring them back:).

this is by far the best cookie i've ever had.
these cookies are slightly crunchy on the outside and completely soft and chewy in the middle-

oh, and the m&m's are always fun . either way, i will vow to never use another cookie recipe ever again because yes, i think i've found the ultimate cookie.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar- i used baker's sugar- it really does make a huge difference!!
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 large bag of m&m's

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and m&m's. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

oh & you can add anything you want to these - coconut, butterscotch, caramel, white chocolate, nuts, you name it!
