caramel rum sauce.


              


this sauce is so delicious you will want to put it on just about everything! it would be amazing over bread pudding, ice cream, banana bread, you name it. & you can whip it together in just under 10 minutes:)


1 tbsp. & 1-3/4 teaspoons of butter
2-1/2 teaspoons of cornstarch
1/3 cup and 2 teaspoons of sugar
3/4 cup and 2 teaspoons of milk
2 tbsp. and 1-1/4 teaspoons of white or dark rum (i tend to use myer's dark)

Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Mix together the sugar and cornstarch and then stir into the butter.

Pour in milk, and cook stirring frequently until the mixture begins to boil.

Continue cooking until thick, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and add rum. Serve warm.
