driving down to san diego today on pacific coast highway reminded me of the cultural food diversity we have here in southern california. while it is no new york, there definitely is no shortage of vietnamese, japanese, korean, thai, and varieties of chinese (mandarin, szechwan, cantonese etc), indian, and great mexican restaurants. there seems to be more inspiration just around every corner . and think, LA is home to the french dip sandwich, the original tommy's hamburger, the coffee bean and tea leaf, the cobb salad at the brown derby (i could go on & on, oh & not to mention some amazing restaurants), and is only growing more food-wise by the day. i consider myself lucky to be surrounded with all of this great food and i appreciate it more everyday.
