a view from the top.

i had the chance to attend the talented photographer robert weingarten's lecture a few days ago at the getty museum. if you aren't familiar with robert or his work, you may be familiar with some of his notable subjects such as the late dennis hopper, colin powell, hank aaron, and mikhail baryshnikov, just to name a few who fill the list of his portrait series. i'm always interested in different approaches to photography and i was very excited to hear his story. the view from the getty that evening was incredible, and the lighting even better. as the marine layer gathered around the city, the sun was just going down which gave a serene glow to the grounds, which of course made for some beautiful photos.

you can see robert weingarten and his work here
